  • Bump, a French company dedicated to low-carbon mobility, opens its first fast-charging hub for electric vehicles in the heart of Paris, 3 months after raising €2 million.
  • Zity (600 car-sharing vehicles) and TopChrono (500 delivery vehicles) are Bump's first daily users.
  • Bump's ambition is to deploy 30 electric vehicle charging hubs within a year in France's 5 biggest cities.

Global warming is now a daily reality for all of us. The main cause is the mobility sector, which is the leading source of CO2 emissions, accounting for over 30% in Europe. But technologies exist to reduce these emissions!

Two entrepreneurs committed to the ecological battle, François Oudot (Ex - Alan & Sigfox) and François Paradis (Ex - Vinci Energies), have founded bump to help professionals make the transition to sustainable mobility.

🌱 Infrastructure to decarbonize mobility

In April 2021, Bump raised €2 million to finance the deployment of its first 30 fast-charging hubs. Bump can count on the expertise of its main shareholders, Firalp - a construction company specializing in electrical networks - and Otoqi - a car-sharing operator.

Following the opening of its first charging hub equipped with 10 fast charging points in the heart of Paris (Jardin des Plantes - Paris 5th arrondissement), the next 5 hubs will extend the city's coverage, starting in July in the 13th arrondissement, in August in the 20th arrondissement, in September in the 11th arrondissement and in October in the 15th and 17th arrondissements.

👀 Simple, pay-as-you-go recharging solutions for professional mobility

Bump offers its customers a turnkey solution called Charge on Demand, which includes :

  • a public high-power recharging infrastructure that is reliable, fast (15 min to 45 min) and reservable,
  • a non-financed recharging infrastructure installed by bump on professional customers' sites and billed per kWh consumed.

The simplicity and efficiency of this solution enables professionals to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.

🚀 700 vehicles already powered by bump charging solutions

Zity - a car-sharing service operated by Renault - and TopChrono - a company specializing in express deliveries - were convinced by bump's ability to meet their recharging needs, and by the simplicity of its Charge on Demand offering.

"We aim to transition our fleet of 500 commercial vehicles to a majority of green vehicles by the end of 2022. Bump provides us with a turnkey solution for our main obstacle - recharging - which integrates on-site recharging and roaming recharging in a single partnership. We're relying on their expertise to accelerate our transformation while keeping our costs under control."

Quentin Dampierre, CEO of TopChrono

"TopChrono is the perfect example of a professional who wants to be an agent of change, but needs support to overcome the complexities of recharging and achieve a successful transformation."

François Oudot, CEO of bump

To achieve its objectives, bump is recruiting expansion managers, electric mobility consultants, project managers and technicians.
