Need to know more about electric charging stations? Here are the most frequently asked questions about our products and services for businesses and fleet managers.
Charging stations from 7.4 kW to 22 kW are generally the most suitable for businesses, as they offer a good balance between charging speed and installation costs. For fleets with critical recharging requirements for their electric vehicles, fast-charging stations from 150 kW upwards can be considered.
A number of grants are available to encourage companies to install charging stations for electric vehicles. In France, the ADVENIR program offers subsidies covering up to 40% of the cost of installing and purchasing charging stations. Other regional or local subsidies may also be available, as well as tax incentives such as the CITE (energy transition tax credit) for VSEs and SMEs.
To qualify for the ADVENIR grant, your electric charging station installation project must meet certain criteria, including installation by a certified professional, use of eligible equipment and compliance with current standards. You must then submit your file on the ADVENIR platform before the work begins, and follow the steps indicated for processing and awarding the bonus.
This can include obtaining planning permission, investigating available electrical capacity, and potentially applying for any grants or subsidies available to companies investing in charging infrastructure.
The cost varies according to the type of electrical terminal chosen, its power rating, the work required for installation, and any subsidies available. On average, the installation of an electric charging station can cost between 2,000 and 6,000 euros, excluding financial assistance.
The LOM law (Loi d'Orientation des Mobilités) introduces a number of obligations for companies to promote the development of clean mobility and the energy transition. These obligations include:
1. Installation of charging stations: Companies with non-residential parking lots of more than twenty spaces are required, during new constructions or major renovations, to install infrastructure to accommodate charging stations for electric vehicles. This measure aims to increase the number of available charging points and encourage the use of less polluting vehicles.
2. Mobility Plan (PDM): Companies with more than 100 employees on the same site must set up a Mobility Plan to reduce motorized travel and promote more sustainable alternatives such as car-sharing, public transport or cycling.
3 Information on CO2 emissions: The LOM law also requires companies to inform their employees about the CO2 emissions linked to their business travel, to encourage business travel by train rather than by plane for short journeys, and to promote the use of electric vehicles in their car fleets.
These measures are part of the LOM law's overall approach to reducing the carbon footprint of travel, encouraging sustainable mobility and improving air quality.
