Since 2016, in response to initial regulations concerning the development of electric charging stations, the government has set up an aid program through the Energy Saving Certificates (CEE) mechanism. Here's a quick and effective guide to understanding how the ADVENIR bonus works for business fleetsand if you're eligible.
🔧 The ADVENIR program: an emancipation tool for the energy transition
The government has set up a program of incentives to support the deployment of recharging infrastructures and to make the ambitions of its commitments to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 realistic. Its commitments have seen the creation of a series of measures such as the LOM law, which we deciphered in this article, imposing a certain level of recharging equipment for electric mobility on public and private parking lots and certain quotas for electric cars. Realising the efforts required of companies and condominiums by these new measures, a support program covering a maximum number of cases throughout France has been created, comprising twelve different bonuses:
- Individual charging points
- Shared charging points
- Collective infrastructure in condominiums
- Private parking for fleets and employees
- Private parking for truck fleets
- Private parking lots open to the public
- Private parking lots open to the public with up to 5 charging points and 36 kVA, excluding network projects
- On-street charging points
- On-street charging points for 2-wheelers
- High-power recharging stations and hubs
- Modernization of obsolete public charging points
- Corsica and Overseas (Non-Interconnected Zones)
With a budget of 120 million euros, the ADVENIR program will finance over 60,000 new electric charging points by 2024. It covers a percentage of the cost of supplying and installing charging points in parking spaces.
The program can cover supply and installation costs up to 30% for private parking lots, up to 60% for public parking lots and up to 50% for condominiums. It is important to note that each program bonus observes a maximum amount per project financed.
👀 Who is eligible for the ADVENIR program?
Eligibility for the ADVENIR program is simple and relies on :
- all "charging points installed in collective housing",
- those installed in "company and public parking lots",
- but also on "recharging points open to the public installed in private and public spaces".
However, it is important to note that :
- Projects for the installation of recharging points with a launch date prior to the launch date of the incentives are ineligible for the ADVENIR program;
- Projects involving the installation of personal charging points on private property are ineligible for the ADVENIR program;
- Projects involving the installation of AC charging stations of 22 kWh or less with a Type 2 connector (cable attached) are ineligible for the ADVENIR program;
- Charging point installation projects that do not comply with decree no. 2021-546 of May 4, 2021 are ineligible for the ADVENIR program;
- Projects for the installation of charging points that do not comply with regulatory obligations, current standards or the specifications for the type of parking lot involved in the project are ineligible for the ADVENIR program.
👇 How do I join the ADVENIR program?
To join the ADVENIR program, it is essential that the supply and installation offer be certified by a qualified installer. A list of companies with ADVENIR-certified offers can be found here.
All you have to do is submit an application to the program platform to start the process. This request must be made by means of a complete file including: the selection of the labelled offer, the type of beneficiary, a description of the project as well as a quotation or a draft rental contract for a 36-month period from an approved dealer or rental company.
